La Zenia Beach

La Zenia Beach is situated in the heart of the Orihuela Costa resort area that is a popular holiday destination for visitors from Britain, Ireland and Scandinavia and also has large expat communities who feel right at home in this predominantly English spoken region of Costa Blanca. Easy access to both Alicante and Murcia-San Javier airports, fantastic shopping and an abundance of cafes, bars and restaurants also adds to the appeal of La Zenia.

La Zenia Beach Amenities

Visitors are well catered for at La Zenia Beach which regularly receives the prestigious Blue Flag Award for its pristine waters and excellent amenities. Although extremely popular, especially during the peak summer months, the beach is not large but offers a fine golden sand bay flanked by rocky outcrops that provide fun snorkelling for the young ones.

The beach has wheelchair access, showers, ablutions, beach volleyball facilities, parasol and sun lounger hire, water sports and a lively little wooden beach bar. This is a great social area with bar stools, tables and chairs where visitors can enjoy a full selection of drinks, powerful cocktails and a snack menu that includes ice creams. Drink prices can be on the high side, but then you're paying for the convenience and also have the option of bringing your own.

Surrounding Facilities

Overlooking the beach is the Hotel Servigroup La Zenia that has direct access from the beach and offers a further choice of snacks and main meals where diners can also enjoy a swim in the pool. The crowning glory of the area is the superb Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping complex in the Alicante Province with over 150 excellent stalls, shops, boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants. A number of well known high street brands can be found and there are loads of fun things to do for the young ones. Live entertainment is often featured at the boulevard and visitors feeling lucky can try their hand in the Casino Mediterráneo.

La Mata Beach

The glorious sands of La Mata Beach stretch for miles, flanked by rocky coves and reefs at the southern end and rolling sand dunes to the north.
