San Vicente del Raspeig

The small town of San Vicente del Raspeig, often referred to as an outer lying residential area of Alicante City is a peaceful little place to visit with selection of shady parks, shops, tapas bars and restaurants. Lying further inland behind the town are the mountain ranges of Serra del Maigmó and Serra del Sit that attract many visitors to the area wishing to enjoy the nature trails and rock climbing opportunities found throughout the mountains. Another popular feature in San Vicente del Raspeig is the Club Hípico Costa Blanca horse riding school.

Club Hípico Costa Blanca

Located in the residential area of Villamontes, Club Hípico Costa Blanca offers various equestrian based activities, a riding school and summer camp. Established in 2007, the club has 25 horses and offers lessons for all levels of riding ability from age 4 upwards.

Horse Riding Treks – Being in a rural area, San Vicente del Raspeig boasts some excellent countryside for horse riding and Club Hípico offers treks of 1, 2 and 3 hour durations, even for those with no riding experience.

Events & Occasions – Throughout the year the club holds events for occasions such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas as well as special packages for celebrations such as birthdays.

Summer Camp –  Club Hípico Summer Camp is a big hit with young horse lovers and features various theory and practical riding classes, gymkhanas, games, field trips and camping. The camp runs during July and bookings for 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks are available.

Visitors to the town looking for a bit more lively entertainment and activities are just a short drive from the city of Alicante where an excellent choice of attractions await. Alicante's main promenade, Explanada de Espana extends from the port and is lined with rows of palm trees and all sorts of market type stalls. The length of the promenade is paved with 6.5 million colourful tiles designed to look like waves and is one of Spain's most beautiful.

Throughout the city there are superb shopping opportunities, lovely buildings and monuments, museums, shady parks and plazas and 6 kilometres of golden sand beaches. In the evenings visitors can enjoy a wonderful selection of bars and restaurants serving a vast range of local and international food and drink, and for late night revelry Alicante has a large casino and a choice of music bars and nightclubs.

The town of San Miguel de Salinas is situated slightly inland between Orihuela Costa and Torrevieja.
