Coach Day Tours

Some visitors to the Costa Blanca are happy to spend days around the hotel pool, head to the beach and enjoy a bit of wining & dining in the evenings, others prefer to hire a car and explore further afield, but there is a more relaxed way to see the fantastic attractions of the Costa Blanca when travelling on coach day tours. There really is so much to see in this lovely part of Spain and most of the popular attractions, towns and cities can be enjoyed in air conditioned comfort on an excellent variety of great value coach day tours.

Coach Day Tours

Based in Torrevieja, David's Coach Trips are a well established and popular tour operator that offer a number of coach day tours, mini breaks, long breaks and sea cruises. One of the reasons that make David's Coach Trips so popular is that the majority of day trips offer passengers the choice to do what they like and they will advise on the best activities, attractions, restaurants and bars to visit during your day before meeting at a given location for the return journey.

Due to the number of passengers on the coaches, the day tours are also superb value for money and often cheaper than if you were to do the trip on your own using public bus transport. It is not necessary to be staying in Torrevieja to enjoy the coach day tours as, depending on the destination, there are various pick up points whether heading north or south of Torrevieja.

Benidorm Day – This is one of the most popular coach day tours that runs every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday with arrival at around 10:30 in the heart of the city on Av. de Europa and departure between 17:00 – 17:30. The day is yours to enjoy this vibrant city with its wonderful sandy beaches, charming Old Town and bustling Wednesday and Sunday street market where the coach also drops off on these two days. Price: 11€.

Benidorm Night – A favourite with the young party crowd that runs every Saturday night with arrival at around 20:30 in the city centre and departure at 01:00. Get your glad rags on and hit the bars and clubs, enjoy a lovely meal or catch a show at the famous Benidorm Palace but don't forget the 1am departure time or it's a long walk home! Price: 12€. With most of Benidorm's larger clubs rocking until 07:00 some of the party hard passengers also book the Sunday day trip to get home and get themselves a hotel room for the night, but if you do please inform the driver so they don't think they're missing a passenger for the night return journey.

Alicante City High Season – This trip runs every Friday from 7th April with approximate arrival time at 10:00 in the city centre. The day is yours to enjoy the lovely Postiguet Beach, take a walk along the famous Esplanade de España beach promenade where you can stop for drinks or lunch in one of the numerous bars and restaurants or visit a local supermarket for supplies and have a relaxing picnic in one of the city's splendid parks. Departure time is 17:45 – 18:00 and the price is 11€. There are also coach day tours during the low season every Monday from 7th November at a price of just 8€.

Jalon Valley – This is another very popular tour that runs every Monday to the wine growing region of Jalon Valley, with a stop in the pretty mountain village of Polop before continuing through the mountains to Jalon for another stop to sample some of the local wines. Then it's time to enjoy a delicious lunch at Monroe's Carvery in the village of Pedreguer after which the tour makes its last stop for a wander around the coastal town of Altea. Price including wine tasting and lunch is 23€.

Guadalest & Algar Waterfalls – Prepare to be mesmerised on this fantastic tour that runs every Friday and heads up steep, windy mountain roads to the stunning Algar Waterfalls. Here you can explore the surrounding Natural Park and cactus gardens or have a swim in the numerous rock pools which remain icy cold, even during the summer months. The journey continues through the mountains to the lofty heights of Guadalest, Spain's most visited village. Entered only through a granite tunnel, the village was once a strategic fortress stronghold that in all its years was never penetrated by attacking armies and marauding Barbary pirates. Here you can stroll the cobbled streets, visit a number of small charming museums and stop for drinks or choose the option of joining the rest of the group for a traditional Spanish meal. Price for the tour is 14€ or with lunch 24€ (entrance to Algar Waterfalls is not included in the price).

Murcia City Market Day – The historical city of Murcia is a delight to visit on market day and this trip runs every Thursday from 12th January. Passengers have the day to themselves to explore the many various styles of architecture, visit the Bishop's Palace, Cathedral de Santa Maria, Roman Theatre Museum or just wander the streets, do a bit of shopping at the market and have a drink and tapas at a roadside cafe while watching the world go by. Price 11€.

Murcia & Calasparra – This tour runs each Thursday from 2nd March where the first stop is Murcia City to either explore some of the attractions or visit the street market. Then it's off to Calasparra where you can visit the unusual cave church that sits on the banks of the Segura River or take a walk along the river bank before enjoying lunch and wine in a favourite local restaurant. Price including lunch and wine is 24€.

Cartagena & Train To Mar Menor – This is one of the coach day tours with a difference as the first leg of the journey is by coach to the bustling port city of Cartagena where you can enjoy a stroll around the lovely marina, take in the sea views from the pier or visit some of the city's superb attractions such as the Roman Theatre and Museum. Then it's on the train for a trip to the spectacular inland sea of the Mar Menor at the fishing village of Los Nietos where you can swim in the calm waters before the journey home. Price including the train is 14€.

Alcala Cave Village – The tour runs every Sunday and heads towards La Mancha Plains with a quick stop for tea or coffee in the historical town of Almansa. The journey continues to the village of Alcala del Jucar and its wonderful cave houses. Here you can enjoy a stroll along the banks of the Jucar River or visit the small market before heading to a mountain top restaurant for a delicious 3 course meal and wine. From the restaurant there are some lovely views to the cave village below. After lunch the group visits one of the traditional cave houses for a look around the fascinating interior and a drink in one of the cave's scenic viewing points. Price including a 3 course lunch and wine is 27€.
