Camping Sites

Visitors to Costa Blanca will find camping sites throughout the entire area from small inland villages to large coastal cities such as Benidorm, and although not officially legal camping can be enjoyed in secluded beach coves, next to picturesque lakes or in lush mountain valleys as long as you are not on private land or in built up areas. That being said, without fresh water, electricity and ablutions, camping rough has a limited appeal.

Costa Blanca Camping

As a whole, the majority of Costa Blanca's camping sites are fantastic and offer superb leisure and accommodation facilities, but due to the large space they occupy most are not in central locations but rather in residential or rural areas where land is a lot cheaper. Having said that, some camping and caravan sites are that large and boast so many facilities, visitors can spend their entire holiday without leaving the site.

Since the dawn of time, sitting around a campfire with a canopy of stars overhead in the company of family and friends has had a delicious appeal, especially for the young ones and gives us a connection with nature so lacking in modern day society. One of the biggest benefits of camping is the safe environment a campsite provides, with 24hr security, strict on-site speed limits and trained camp staff providing entertainment and an ever vigilant eye, camping is the perfect holiday choice for families looking for fun and relaxation.

As with hotels, Benidorm boasts the largest choice of campsites in Costa Blanca, most within a few minutes drive from the city centre and beaches. Located on the CV-753 on the outskirts of the city, Villamar camping ground offers fantastic themed pool areas with fun and relaxation in mind that have been constructed to resemble a tropical lagoon complete with islands and water slides as well as an indoor heated pool. There is a bar, restaurant, sporting facilities, regular entertainment, a choice of bungalows and a staggering  1,090 camping pitches.

When it comes to beautiful settings, Fonts de l'Algar Camping & Caravaning enjoys one of the best camping spots on the Costa Blanca. Just a short drive from Benidorm, the campsite offers a peaceful mountain setting close to the stunning Algar Waterfalls and fun Dino Park. There is a bar, cafe and mini mart and the camping area has 100 large tent plots and 4 caravan/camper van plots with water and electric.

For an unforgettable family experience in one of Spain's largest camping sites, La Marina Camping & Resort is located near the city of Elche and boasts every conceivable facility.
