La Marina

With a dramatic mountain backdrop, the peaceful village of La Marina lies between Santa Pola and Guardamar del Segura on Spain's sunny Costa Blanca. The area is divided by the N-332 dual carriageway with the beach resort on one side and the residential area on the other. Both areas offer a selection of services, shops, bars and restaurants where visitors can enjoy delicious tapas or fresh seafood before venturing to one of the village bars for some live music.

Village Life

As with many of Spain's coastal villages, much of the attractions and activities take place outdoors where impromptu parties spring up on the beach and the market days are great social events with the bars and restaurants gearing up for the crowds. La Marina has both a Thursday and Sunday market in the centre of the village where visitors will find the freshest local produce at great value prices as well as arts & crafts, leather goods, clothing and accessories.

Out & About

La Marina's sandy beaches stretch for miles and make for gloriously peaceful lazy days in the sun. The large El Pinet Natural Park has various hiking trails winding their way through diverse countryside and salt flats where there are viewing platforms for bird and wildlife watching. The more urban El Oasis Natural Park has a delightful little lake, shady green areas, seating for picnics, and BBQ facilities but please keep it natural and leave only your footprints.

La Marina Camping & Resort has its main entrance right on the village high street and is set in landscaped tropical gardens with over 40 different species of plants and trees, several swimming pools, wooden bridges and walkways, Jacuzzi pool, waterfalls, 6 thrilling water slides and a poolside bar. The resort really needs to be seen to be believed and with 415 camping plots and 65 bungalows offers a complete holiday experience within its grounds.

Bordering La Marina is San Fulgencio where visitors can enjoy thrills and hopefully not spills at the go-kart track. Further activities available in La Marina include quad bike hire, mini golf, horse riding, hot air balloon flights and a good selection of water sports.

Guadalest

Enjoying a lofty position in the Costa Blanca's mountainous interior is the charming village of Guadalest.
