El Cisne Flea Market

Serious collectors and antique dealers visiting the sunny Costa Blanca should definitely pay a visit to the wonderful El Cisne Flea Market located close to Benidorm. Most visitors to Benidorm are there for the excellent beaches, activities, attractions and legendary nightlife but for some a highlight of their visit is to browse the market stalls looking for bargains to take home, such as the superb handmade leather goods and great variety of olive oils. Benidorm has several markets including a summer craft market, indoor and municipal market, and the large Wednesday and Sunday street market that attracts thousands of visitors each day.

Located in and around an old stone farmhouse on the way to Albir, El Cisne Flea Market is one of the very few genuine flea markets to be found on the Costa Blanca and a stroll around the stalls always offers the thrill of stumbling upon a rare hidden treasure. The market is open every Saturday and Sunday from around 09:30 – 14:30 and if travelling from Benidorm, you head out of the city on Av. de la Comunitat Valenciana past the mega nightclubs and the market is located just before the junction for the N-332.

El Cisne Flea Market Stalls

Visiting the market is a pleasure all year round, with the main area of the market located inside the farmhouse and further stalls outdoors. The old farmhouse rooms have been converted into separate market stalls and there are two cafes with indoor and outdoor seating areas that are covered in the winter and have welcoming space heaters to keep out the chill. The cafes serve a variety of meals and snacks, coffee, tea, soft drinks and both local and imported alcoholic beverages. Further food and drink is available from some of the stalls.

Indoors is where you will find the majority of antique stalls that offer a wide range of rare and not so rare collectables such as stamps, coins, rare china, antique military memorabilia, old jewellery boxes, furniture, brass & copperware, lamps, paintings, books, porcelain and pottery. There are a few further antique stalls outside as well as your common market goods like homeware, hardware, clothing, hats, scarves, shoes, rugs, cushions, crafts, jewellery, music, many second hand goods and a selection of food and delicatessen stalls.

El Cisne Flea Market is not just about searching for bargains or rare finds, it has a wonderful atmosphere and weekend entertainment is provided in the form of live jazz performances. There is a raised terrace overlooking the cafes seating areas and each weekend local musicians come from all over the Costa Blanca to entertain the crowds.
